How long does a Cosmetic Tattoo last?

This varies between skin types, technique and color selected. Tattooed brows, Eyeliner and Lips generally last 3-5 years, although some may not fade for as long as 8 years. You can increase the longevity of the work by following your post-procedure care instructions and avoiding applying serums to the area that are meant to fade dark spots or change the color or brightness of your skin.

Microblading vs Ombre? Which one is right for me?

Microblading is the technique where you will receive semi-permanent strokes that resemble natural eyebrow hair. This technique is best for people who have enough hair naturally, but are dissatisfied with the shape or fullness. The Ombre is a powder-fill technique starting light where the eyebrow aligns with your nose, and become darker as you move toward the ends. This technique is best for people who have oily skin, darker skin tones, and little to no hair naturally. For people who have no eyebrow hair we offer a combination of the two techniques to give their eyebrows a natural, full, and complete look. All services will be discussed during your consultation so we can decide what is best for you.

Do I have to do the perfecting session?

We strongly recommend you book a touchup 4-6 weeks after your procedure so we can assess your healing and  pigment implantation. All services fade 40-70% after the first initial application. After the initial touchup, people will typically return once a year for a color refresher.  Some people will require more than one touch up depending on their skin and skin history.

Does it hurt?

This is a very common question, but it's difficult to answer because we all process pain differently. We use a topical numbing cream, though you may experience some discomfort. We do use a secondary topical numbing gel in procedure to further numb the area and    reduce swelling. Women on their period may experience more sensitivity.

How long is the procedure?

All procedures vary, Most are 2 to 3 hours.

What is the healing process like?

With any semi-permanent makeup you will experience swelling the day of your procedure, light scabbing and peeling in the days following. Avoid swimming, submerging your tattoo under water and direct sunlight for 10 days. The tattoo can take 10-14 days to heal, generally, and up to 6 weeks to reveal healed brow. Apply ointment daily. Please see post care procedure form.

*You will NOT see the true result for up to 6 weeks after the tattoo has healed.*

Is this safe?

As with any sub-dermal procedure there are risks involved, even if those risks are minimal. That is why we make sure to follow every precaution we can, and purchase the best quality equipment and pigments.

Do I have to make an appointment or do you accept walk-ins?

Our studio hours are by appointment only.

Can I bring my kids?

By law, persons under 18 are not allowed in the room while the procedure is taking place so we request that you please find care for smaller children who can not sit in the waiting room alone. Our receptionist is often moving about the salon and can not keep a close watch on them.

Can I get a semi-permanent tattoo while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. Though we have yet to have an issue with adverse reactions, we do ask that you wait until you are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding to book an appointment as an added precaution.

Do you use anything to numb the area?

We do apply a topical numbing cream prior to all procedures, as well as a secondary numbing gel during procedure.

Is there anything I need to do or avoid doing before coming in?

Please avoid alcohol, drugs, caffeine and blood thinning medication for at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Also, discontinue retinol usage for 2 weeks before and dont wear makeup to your appointments. We understand many people are coming from work and other appointments/errands - we have everything you need to remove your makeup.

Do I need to make a consultation first?

If you're very nervous or unsure, we recommend you schedule your consultation, otherwise you will have a consultation at the beginning of your appointment before your procedure begins.

Do you require deposits?

Yes. Please be ready to make a $100 deposit to secure your cosmetic tattoo  procedure after your consultation. The deposit goes toward your total appointment value and will  be forfeit for NO show. If you change your mind and decide not to have the work done, please call us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Do I need to arrive early?

If you are having a semi-permanent makeup procedure done, we always appreciate early arrivals - typically 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. If this is your first time here, it allows you time to fill out paperwork, and if you're a return client - it will give you extra time for your numbing cream to set in.

What is the process like?

When you arrive, give our receptionist your name and she will hand you forms to fill out and sign. She will then lead you into our consultation room where we will take your before pictures. These are not full face or body photos - just upclose shots of the area where the work will be applied. Your numbing cream will be applied, and your custom pigment mixed. We will then proceed with facial mapping, and begin your procedure. You'll be given after-care ointment and instructions at check-out.

What is our refund policy?

The results of any cosmetic procedure, including but not limited to cosmetic tattooing, cannot be guaranteed. There are countless variables. As such, after the complete healing process, we can offer no refunds. Jennifer is a confident professional that loves her clients and is 100% dedicated to offering a great, licensed service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is microblading a permanent tattoo?

Microblading is very similar to a tattoo in the sense that we are depositing pigment under the skin . The blade consists of micro fine needles that dont completely penetrate the dermis, implanting featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment which etches fine, realistic natural hair strokes into the surface of the skin. Microblading, depending on skin type, can last from 6 months to 2 years. The technique is semi-permanent so the clients can update their look.
